[Apgujeong Pop-Up Store Review] A Serene Little Escape in the Heart of Seoul
Where I found a mini getaway called “Saerodowon”
Spring in Seoul is chef’s kiss — that crisp air, those blue skies… makes you wanna escape somewhere chill, right?
But what if I told you there's a place right in the middle of Seoul where you can slow down, breathe, and soak in some serious vibes?
Let me take you to the Saerodowon Pop-Up Store in Apgujeong Rodeo — a hidden gem that felt like stepping into a peaceful dreamland.
First Impressions: Total Aesthetic Vibes
Even the name Saerodowon sounds poetic. “Dowon (桃園)” means a peach blossom paradise, and the space really lives up to that dreamy image. I expected a typical product display, but this pop-up went above and beyond — it was a full-on sensory experience.
Warm lighting, wooden textures, and a touch of hanok-style architecture gave the place a modern Korean twist. Seriously, people were taking pics even before they walked in.
More Than Just a Store: A Whole Mood
Inside, the space was dripping with the brand’s identity and storytelling.
Sure, the focus was Korean liquor (soju, to be exact), but the way it was presented? Super artsy and immersive.
You get to learn about the brand’s philosophy, how the drinks are made, and the ingredients — all laid out in a way that’s super IG-worthy and engaging.
Merch Goals: Cutest K-Goods Ever
First thing I saw? A pop-up merch zone packed with beautifully designed goodies.
It’s giving K-culture meets luxury, and I wanted everything.
Yes, They Sell Soju (And You’ll Wanna Buy It)
Oh, and check the upper-right corner of the store — they’ve got soju for sale that hasn’t even officially launched yet.
You know I grabbed a bottle. 😎
Gacha Machines & DIY Soju Labels
Guess what else?
There’s a gacha machine! Cute little random items inside — not totally my vibe, but fun for collectors.
But the real deal?
🧃 DIY Soju Label Station.
Yup, they had two machines where you could customize your own label for a soju bottle. Backgrounds, characters, logos, text, stickers — you name it.
It was actually so fun and kinda addicting.
I even put my blog name, Leodio, on my label.
(Okay, I’m not great at design, so I just threw on a bunch of stickers LOL)
Interactive Missions = Freebies & Fun
They handed me this adorable pouch with colored beads when I entered — turns out it’s for a mission zone.
Complete all the missions at different stations and collect stamps — the reward? Cute little merch goodies!
Let me break it down:
🎣 Zone 1: Fishing Game + Fortune Teller
You play a mini fishing game and then get your fortune told. Spoiler: all good vibes only 😄
📸 Zone 2: AI-Generated K-History Photo Booth
This one’s SO fun. Using the latest AI tech, it turns your face into a gorgeous Joseon-era look. Think historical drama but make it fashion.
You get 4 printed photos (2 styles out of 3 options) — and it's totally FREE.
They even give you a QR code so you can download the pics to your phone. Loved that!
🍶 Zone 3: Store Your Own Soju Bottle
You enter your nickname and a password, then this digital screen shows a custom bottle made just for you. It gets “stored” in their virtual cellar — very cool and futuristic.
🎲 Zone 4: Dice Game
Roll the dice and get a random prize! We scored 3 coupons.
These QR codes link to nearby bars or lounges where you can exchange them for a drink (I think you get a bottle of soju, but hey — let me know if you try!)
Wrapping It All Up
I ended my visit by sticking my custom label on a bottle and having a little sip.
Cheers to a day well spent 💚
